ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Robot Company is looking for a Senior Manager, Talent Relations who will be responsible for working alongside the Senior Director of Talent Relations to provide talent insights, lead talent partnership efforts, and support the execution of client activations. A key function of the role is providing insights informed by talent relationships and a strong connection to culture - this is what makes Robot stand out. You will work closely with talent across industries – inclusive of musicians, athletes, artists, actors, influencers, etc. – and their publicists, managers, and agents to unlock partnership opportunities and manage all aspects of talent engagement. The successful candidate will support TSHC's mission and values by proactively fostering relationships with talent and representation, partnering with internal cross-functional teams and supporting talent-related insight mining and development to help achieve best in class partnerships and work. They will be an adept problem solver with strong talent relations experience within music, entertainment and gaming and have a complete understanding of how to meet talent expectations.
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Talent Relations - Robot
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate extensive insight on: 1. How talent operates; 2. The unique nuances of talent's day-to-day lives and; 3. opportunities that will excite talent.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional Robot teams to devise creative ideas that deliver on client goals.
• Negotiate directly with talent and talent management teams to agree upon terms on clients' behalf.
• Work with TSHC legal and finance teams to align on deal terms and fee(s), and facilitate the process from the sourcing and outreach phases to contracting to deal point execution.
• Serve as a key POC for all ongoing talent/client relationships, including but not limited to strategic activation proposals, IRL appearances, shoots, and additional ad-hoc opportunities
• Maintain talent and talent management relationships during and beyond the scope of services, ensuring everyone feels a part of the TSHC family, not part of a transaction. This will include attending specific production days, as well as evergreen upkeep.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with talent relations.
• Establish, maintain, and nurture relationships within all relevant communities to attract key talent.
• Create and/or manage talent-related tracking documents regularly.
• Must be willing and available to travel both domestically and internationally, when required
QUALIFICATIONS
• 6 years in Entertainment Talent Management or similar
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be impeccable in building trust with talent, including having the maturity and honesty to frame business realities and needs when needed.
• An established track record of outstanding judgment in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, particularly in dealing with time-sensitive, confidential and/or controversial matters
• Adept at fostering and managing client relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written & verbal), and presentation skills
• A high integrity level and a passion for the quality of work created by the company
• Flexibility and the ability to perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Extremely goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize key business needs from a Talent perspective.
$95,000 - $110,000 a year
